About the Club
Cowboy Action Shooting in montana
We’re a spirited group of Western enthusiasts, competitive cowboy action shooters, and cowboy fans. We are affiliated with SASS, the Single Action Shooting Society. We are also a social club and have potlucks and activities for non-shooting members to join in as well.
Matches with the Bitterroot Buckaroos?
SASS Montana State Championship
Compete in one of the region’s most exciting cowboy action shooting events the third week of July. Hosted by the Buckaroos and located in Great Falls, MT at the fabulous Black Horse Shooting Range. We offer both the SASS Montana State Wild Bunch and Cowboy match in one event.
Ambush at Canyon Walls
Our annual match is located in Hamilton, MT in the Bitterroot Valley South of Missoula, MT the third weekend in September. It’s most fun you can have cowboy action shooting. We design our match for both social aspects of CAS as well as the shooting.
Monthly Matches in Hamilton, MT
Enjoy the friendship and fun of shooting with a local club. We shoot on the first Saturday of the month March through December. Cowboy are generous in helping new shooters get started. Come to a shoot and check it out!
